Responsible for enhancing, supporting, and maintaining medical imaging and clinical applications within the Virtua Health System. Demonstrates subject matter expertise in solutions development and implementation of software and workflow design in Cardiology, Dental, Maternal Fetal Medicine, Neurology, Perinatal, and Radiology service lines. Provides instruction to team members, oversees at least 5 IT applications, and leads at least 5 projects per year.

Optimizes applications through development of new functionality, testing and implementing vendor releases and upgrades, and fixing system defects. Works closely with Informatics to develop Visio models using best practices for build, configuration, workflow analysis, data integrity, and auditing. Maintains adherence to cybersecurity and HIPAA policies and manages external IS vendor relations for >5 medical imaging or clinical applications.

• Interpret and analyze complex workflow/system requirements to design, configure, test, and implement medical imaging and clinical application solutions, and maintain all documentation.
• Provide day‑to‑day support of IT applications, manage error resolution, and maintain extensive knowledge of business processes and regulatory requirements.
• Research emerging technologies to optimize workflow, patient safety, and system integration, and facilitate customer engagement through meetings and communications.
• Develop detailed design specifications and build application components based on customer needs and software capabilities.
• Test disaster recovery plans, collaborate on future state business processes, and monitor system performance using appropriate tools to prevent interruptions.
• Spearhead small to medium projects, assist with troubleshooting, develop test plans, and prepare validation documentation for go‑live approvals.
• Serve as a role model, team lead, and mentor, enforce best practices, and create educational sessions.
• Maintain CMDB in Service Now, adhere to IT Standards with Problem & Change Management, and provide 24x7 on‑call support.
• Coordinate software updates, ensure high availability and performance of business applications, and conduct service interruption analysis.
• Participate in performance improvement activities with key personnel to design future needs and efficient workflow processes.

• At least 5+ years of experience directly related to healthcare IT, preferably in medical imaging technologies.
• Expertise in multiple medical imaging and clinical applications.
• Excellent facilitation and communication skills.
• Healthcare business or clinical specialty experience is highly recommended.
• 5+ years of Epic Cupid experience strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of healthcare operations, information flow, and emerging technologies.
• Ability to function with minimal supervision and manage multiple priorities.

B.A./B.S. in Information Systems or related field required; equivalent education and experience may be considered.

Expertise and certification required in multiple IT applications. Additional certifications may be requested by Virtua. Epic Cupid Certification is preferred.
