Schedule: 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (Thu/Fri), 9:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. (Sat/Sun), 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (Mon). Flexibility for overtime to support department needs.
SummaryThe Materials and Logistics Supervisor maintains efficient workflow, provides leadership and mentorship for the work group, and leads decision making to ensure customer service levels. They manage supply chain materials logistics, inventory control, and supply channel management for clinical departments. Responsibilities include inventory control procedures, accurate general stores and departmental inventory, cycle counts, logistics distribution, and supply chain coordination.
Position Responsibilities- Communicates regularly with supply‑chain leadership, customers, and associates to meet departmental needs.
- Identifies problems and supplies solutions to Supply Chain Leadership.
- Ensures quantity and quality of incoming product using applicable equipment.
- Leads team to receive, fill, transport, and deliver orders; addresses shipment and invoice discrepancies.
- Maintains and optimizes assigned inventories, ensuring FIFO.
- Maintains cleanliness, safety, and security of receiving and storage facilities.
- Works with clinical leaders to standardize products, optimize inventory locations, and reduce expenses.
- Monitors and audits outdated products, documents findings, and reports issues.
- Processes supply requests and product issues via e‑mail, voicemail, fax, and phone.
- Delivers product and STAT/RUSH orders to Virtua departments to meet supply‑chain needs.
- Attends required meetings, daily huddles, and product committees.
- Participates in annual physical inventories.
- Tracks timekeeping for associates and areas.
- Orient and train new employees and others as requested.
- Performs other job‑related duties as assigned.
Minimum of 2 years prior materials management experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
Basic knowledge and skills in computer use: data entry, e‑mail usage.
Knowledge of inventory and stocking; reads and comprehends instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Required EducationHS degree or equivalent.
Training/Certifications/LicensureForklift certification or ability to obtain certification; may be required.
