American Traveler is hiring a PACU RN with pediatric and pre-op experience to work day shifts and float across a multi-hospital system.
Details- Work in the PACU unit providing pre-op and post-anesthesia care
- Pediatric patient population in addition to adult PACU cases
- Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- Required to float within a 5-hospital system (Voorhees, Marlton, Mt. Holly, Willingboro, and OLOL) based on staffing needs
- Epic EMR experience required
- Active NJ or Compact RN license required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required, with BLS not expiring within 30 days of assignment start
- Minimum 2 years of specialty experience required, with recent experience within the last 12 months
- Pediatric PACU, Phase I and Phase II Recovery experience required
- Experience with dysrhythmia recognition/management
- Experience administering and monitoring procedural sedation
- Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and management of central/PICC lines
- Experience with pre/post-op patient care including discharge instructions and medication reconciliation
- Must pass a dysrhythmia exam within 72 hours of signing, with only two attempts allowed on a PC (iOS devices not compatible)
- Failure to pass the dysrhythmia exam within the required timeframe results in contract cancellation
- Must complete pre-employment labs within 48 hours of signing
- Must be clean shaven to accommodate respirator fit testing prior to starting on the unit
- Scrubs are provided
- COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required with no exemptions
- RTO must be submitted at time of consideration; requests submitted afterward will not be accepted
- No RTO permitted during the first week of the assignment
- Block scheduling is not permitted
- Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are subject to the local pay rate
- Travel experience is required for this position
