General Manager

Overview

The best General Managers are the ones who think like owners. We encourage creativity in hiring great associates, in marketing Honey Baked and in community outreach. Our GMs lead the store operations and are responsible for achieving overall performance goals including sales, customer service, product quality, and staff development.

Unlike most companies, we don't take a sink-or-swim approach to management – we have a multi‑week training program with experienced trainers. We’re not hiring you to make sandwiches. We’re hiring you to make decisions, so it’s only fair we give you the tools to do the job.

• Lead store operations and drive performance goals.
• Achieve sales, customer service, product quality and staff development targets.
• Manage P&L, execute business plan and maintain product quality standards.
• Coach and develop staff, including hiring seasonal workers.
• Partner with community organizations to build relationships.

• A current General Manager from a retail or restaurant environment with a passion for hands‑on customer service.
• Demonstrated growth in previous roles and strong knowledge of P&L management.
• Experience executing a business plan and an unwavering commitment to product quality.
• Strong desire to increase sales and build community relationships.
• Excellent coaching skills and a proven track record of developing talent.

We’re a 65‑plus year old brand with uncompromised quality, yet we are #notstuffy. We value balance, are closed on Sundays, and managers typically work about 50 hours per week with minimal early mornings and late nights. Managers have full accountability of their store operations.

Store leaders must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. The role requires bending, stooping, standing for long periods, twisting, and lifting products and supplies, some of which can weigh up to 65 lbs, and working with a hot torch.
