Staff Accountant

Peninsula Fiber Network, LLC (PFN), a rapidly expanding fiber optic telecommunications company, is seeking a full-time Staff Accountant to join their team in Marquette, MI
. As an Accountant, you will work closely with all members of the accounting department including accounts receivable, accounts payable, billing, human resources, and payroll, assisting with recording of all ongoing business activities.

• Assist with data entry, maintenance and monthly closing of general ledger.
• Accounts Receivable management and customer contact.
• Maintain Continuing Property Records.
• Maintain inventory records and prepare monthly material summary.
• Assist in the preparation and distribution of monthly billing.
• Maintain Plant Under Construction records including monthly closing of work orders.
• Assist with monthly preparation of financial statements.
• Assist with regulatory filings.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field required; experience or alternative degree may be considered in lieu of required education.
• Exceptional working knowledge of GAAP accounting principles.
• Proficient in operating a personal computer and software applications.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of programs required.
• Experience working in the Telecommunications Industry a plus.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with customers, co-workers and various business contacts in a professional and courteous manner.
