Position OverviewMarquette University School of Dentistry invites qualified applicants for either a clinical or tenure track faculty position in Restorative Dentistry & Cariology to support the predoctoral dental program. MUSOD is well known for its innovative curriculum. The school is serving the community on its main campus in Milwaukee and in outreach clinics across the State of Wisconsin.
Duties and ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities are focused on all aspects of the program instruction in Cariology and Restorative sciences in preclinical, didactic, and clinical teaching. Major job duties will include: (i) delivery of didactic and pre‑clinical simulation content in Cariology and Operative Dentistry; (ii) develop and oversee learning objectives and assessments for pre‑clinical and clinical competencies; (iii) calibrate pre‑clinical examination evaluators and clinical competency evaluators;
(iv) provide direct clinical oversight of dental students in clinics; and (v) additional duties as assigned.
Skills and Abilities
Qualified applicants must have a DMD/DDS degree from a US or Canadian dental school recognized by the ADA Commission on Dental Accreditation or comparable foreign degree. Applicants must hold a valid dental license in some state or jurisdiction and be eligible for a regular license in the State of Wisconsin.
Preferred Knowledge,Skills and Abilities
Preference will be given to candidates who are graduates of an advanced education program in Restorative Dentistry with a Cariology component or those with a demonstrated expertise or focus in cariology and candidates with demonstrated experience in teaching. Salary is commensurate with training and experience.
