Position OverviewThe Department of Social and Cultural Sciences is hiring adjunct instructors to teach criminology courses during the Fall 2025 semester (8/25/25 to 12/16/25). The classes are scheduled to be taught in person on the following days/times:
- CRLS 2400. Carceral Systems
, MW 1-1:50pm (+ online component) - CRLS 3680. Family Violence and Public Intervention
, MWF 10-10:50am

Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate(s) will have full responsibility for the courses and sections they teach, including course and syllabus preparation, grading exams and other assignments. Must maintain a minimum of 3 office hours a week.
Required Knowledge,Skills and Abilities
Masters Degree preferred or substantial progress toward the terminal degree.
Preferred Knowledge,Skills and Abilities
Master’s degree in Criminology, Criminal Justice, Sociology, or related field.
Demonstrated excellence in teaching.
