UPHS‑Marquette is a 222‑bed hospital in Marquette, MI, and houses the region’s only Level II Trauma Center and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Marquette’s rural landscape, abundant recreational opportunities, and welcoming people make the Upper Peninsula a unique place to work.
How You Will Contribute- Manage the department’s activities and resources to drive quality outcomes.
- Review EMR and payer registries to identify high‑risk patients.
- Analyze clinical data and identify HCC gaps.
- Query and communicate with providers and care managers to capture accurate HCC.
- Assist in evaluating data to assure accuracy and reliability.
- Prepare reports and performance reporting of quality data.
- Oversee quality reporting to insurance carriers.
- Assist with orientation and training of personnel and students.
- Participate in meetings as required.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
- Prepare periodic reports as requested.
- Assist Care Managers in making follow‑up calls to patients.
Applicants should have a Michigan RN license and possess an associate degree from an accredited nursing school (bachelor’s degree preferred). Additional requirements include:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Two years of healthcare experience.
- Core competency in risk adjustment (preferred).
- Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, ability to work with minimal supervision, thrive in a stressful environment.
