This position will perform mammography procedures in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice, including patient education, contrast media preparation, equipment operation, quality control, and compliance with the Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA).

Non-exempt.
- Reviews patient history and physician’s orders; educates patients regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure understanding and cooperation.
- When ordered, prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice.
- Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responses to changes in status; may assist physician with interventional procedures including fine needle aspiration and needle localization.
- Prepares equipment and supplies; selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters; implements safety standards and performs quality control procedures on equipment; troubleshoots and reports equipment malfunctions.
- Participates in ensuring compliance with MQSA regulations and applicable accreditations.
- Posits patient and performs imaging procedure(s), biopsies, stereotactic and special procedures; analyzes results and takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues.
- Enters, transmits and reports scan results; maintains records and follows up on all patients.
- Education: Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent; JRC/ERT approved school of Radiologic Technology preferred; ARRT registry required.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years as Registered Radiographer; ability to work under minimal supervision in a stressful environment.
- Licensure/Certification: Radiology (specific country);
Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS‑HCP) required. - Skills: Critical thinking, decisive judgment, stress tolerance, communication with patients.
