• Performs a wide variety of patient care activities related to behavioral health.
• Completes substance abuse evaluations in compliance with documentation guidelines.
• Completes and initiates treatment plans and treatment plan reviews in compliance with documentation guidelines. Assumes overall responsibility for coordinating patient care while in service program.
• Provides and documents individual, family, and group therapy as assigned.
• Monitors patient attendance and length of time in services; coordinates a discharge plan and recommendations for further treatment, as appropriate.
• Initiates and facilitates crisis prevention and intervention, providing emergency crisis services as needed and assigned.
• Participates in hospital billing process to secure maximum reimbursement for services.
• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Bachelor s degree in Social Work or related field

• Years of relevant experience may be substituted for required education.

• State of Michigan Licensed Bachelor's Social Worker (LBSW) (Preferred)
• Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP)
• Certified Addiction Counselor (Preferred)

2 years alcohol and drug treatment setting

1 Year Therapeutic Experience With Chemical Dependency (Preferred)
