Laboratory Assistant II, Core Lab .5F ) -
ResponsibilitiesDescription Responsible for collecting, receiving and processing of inpatient and outpatient specimens. Possesses an in-depth knowledge of specimen handling and laboratory processing and procedures.
Qualifications- Required Registration: Current American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or equivalent registry or registry eligible as a Medical Laboratory Technician, Medical Technologist or Clinical Lab Specialist
- Required Licensure: Current State of Michigan driver license (as applicable for worksite)
- Moderate physical effort (lift/carry up to 25 lbs)
- Prolonged, extensive, or considerable standing/walking
- Occasional lifts, positions, pushes and/or transfers of patients
- Considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching
- Regularly exposed to the risk of blood borne disease
- May be exposed to toxic chemicals
- Occasional pressure from multiple calls and inquires
Ability to judge distance and space relationships
