Overview
Registered Nurse, Cardiopulmonary at UP Health System - Marquette, Marquette, MI. Full-Time 0.9 FTE, 12-hour varied shifts (plus weekend and holiday rotation). $7,500 Sign-on Bonus Available Based on eligibility. Your experience matters.
Responsibilities- Perform plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care as prescribed.
- Document patient care; monitor, record, and communicate patient condition to care team, physician, patient, and family.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living and support nutrition, hygiene, elimination, and ambulation.
- Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharge, referrals, and psychosocial support needs.
- Evaluate learning needs of patient/family and provide education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances; advocate for patient well-being.
- State of Michigan RN license;
Associate degree from accredited nursing school (Bachelor s degree preferred). - Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers (BLS-HCP);
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 1 year.
Cardiac department has 36 beds; patient population includes Cardiac and CVA patients, post-op CABG, pacemaker patients, arrhythmias (Bradycardia, Tachycardia, SVT, AFIB w/RVR or new AF), acute MIs, PCI, bypass surgeries, CEAs, and more. Includes step-down (IMCU) patients. This role involves exposure to more critically ill patients and can serve as a bridge to ED/ICU.
