Clinical Quality Lead (RN), Quality Management 1.0DV ) -
Description:
Works closely with organizational leadership and medical staff to identify opportunities for Clinical Quality Improvement (CQI), and other performance improvement projects as identified. Gathers, analyzes, interprets and presents quality measurement data required to:
• Compare the quality of clinical care with internal and external benchmarks as well as evidence-based best practice guidelines.
• Assess reliability and facilitate continuous improvement of clinical processes and outcomes of care.
• Ensure reliable data to external data registries through high-quality clinical screening.
Responsibilities- Identify opportunities for Clinical Quality Improvement (CQI) and other performance improvement projects.
- Gather, analyze, interpret, and present quality measurement data to compare clinical care against benchmarks and guidelines.
- Assess reliability and facilitate continuous improvement of clinical processes and outcomes of care.
- Ensure reliable data submission to external data registries through high-quality clinical screening.
- POSITION
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing and/or has completed applicable certification requirements within six months of hire and/or - Three (3) years experience in patient clinical nursing
- Required Licensure:
Licensed in the state of Michigan as registered nurse - BLS certified
- Preferred Education:
CPHQ - Preferred Experience:
Database data entry and/or management experience;
Statistical knowledge;
Quality improvement or patient safety knowledge and experience;
Clinical chart review and abstraction experience - Other skills:
Ability to interact with all members of the healthcare team and administrative staff in a professional and courteous manner;
Computer and Internet skills with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access)
- Moderate physical efforts (lift/carry up to 25 lbs)
- Occasional prolonged standing/walking
- Occasionally lifts supplies/equipment
- Occasional reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching
- Manual dexterity and mobility
- Near acuity:
Ability to see clearly at 20" or less
- May be exposed to infections and contagious diseases
- Subject to many interruptions
- Occasionally subjected to irregular hours
