54‑bed acute Medical and Surgical unit (3 wings with 18 beds each). We have good support from care aides to assist in patient care. Wide variety of patient conditions and interventions to hone skills and grow professionally. It’s a fast‑paced unit with admissions and discharges always happening throughout the shift.
How you will contribute- Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care treatment.
- Documents patient care given.
- Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
- Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
- Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
- Evaluates learning needs of patients and/or families and provides education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
- Advocates for the physical and emotional well‑being of patients.

Applicants should have a state of Michigan RN license and possess an associate degree from an accredited nursing school (bachelor’s degree preferred).
Additional requirements include- Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS‑HCP)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) (preferred)
