Registered Nurse (RN) Cardiac Unit Job Type: Full-Time | 0.9 FTE or 72 hours/pp

Schedule:

6 x 12-hour Night shifts (7p-7a), Rotating Weekends and Holidays

Nurses are exposed to more critical patients, making it a good bridge to departments such as ED and ICU.

• Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
• Documents patient care given.
• Monitors, records, and communicate patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
• Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

• Applicants should have a current Michigan RN license and possess an associate's degree from an accredited nursing school (bachelor's preferred).
• Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP)
• IMCU cross-training (within 1 year)
• Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) (within 1 year)
