American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a Neuro/Ortho/Pediatrics unit requiring 2+ years of experience and a Michigan RN license.

• Med/Surg unit specializing in Neuro, Ortho, and Pediatric patients within a 225-bed specialty care hospital
• Level 2 trauma center with a 24-bed unit
• Patient population includes all ages over 28 days, with common diagnoses in trauma and post-op Ortho/Neuro care, plus a general pediatric unit (0-3 rooms on average)
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Uses Paragon EHR, transitioning to Cerner
• Night shift schedule (7p-7a) with every other weekend required
• Weekend commitment of 3 weekends every 6 weeks
• Floating to other inpatient units required
• No on-call requirements

• Active MI RN license required
• BLS certification required; PALS preferred
• Minimum 2+ years of RN experience required, with adult experience required and pediatric experience preferred
• ADN required
• AHA certifications required
• Active Nursys licensure verification required at time of consideration
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

• Provide nursing care for Neuro, Ortho, and Pediatric patients including trauma and post-operative cases
• Work within a collaborative, team-oriented unit culture
• Supervisor support available on the unit
• Galaxy Blue scrub color required per facility dress code
• Candidates must reside 60+ miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rate; otherwise local rate applies
• Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full-time while on assignment
