Job SummaryDirects, supervises, and coordinates staff and activities of the Clinical Applications team to ensure delivery of quality customer systems and support. This position ensures staff adherence to all regulatory requirements, policies, and procedures, while collaborating with senior leadership to support efficient and effective operations within Information Systems.
Essential Functions- Consistently uses an outward mindset and puts forth exemplary effort in accomplishing his/her goals and objectives in a manner that helps others to achieve their goals and objectives.
- Supports the organization to promote patient safety, patient outcomes, clinical efficiencies, patient engagement, interoperability, and accurate revenue generation, through best practice and development of reliable processes and/or systems.
- Supervises and mentors the Clinical Analysts on a day-to-day basis.
- Evaluates performance and provides feedback, in partnership with the Applications Manager.
- Participates in various meetings with operational department leaders in organization to promote a collaborative environment.
- Makes recommendations to achieve the strategic goals of the team, department, and organization.
- May be required to perform occasional on-call rotation with other team members.
Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Nursing, or related field. In lieu of Bachelors, five (5) years of comparable work experience may be substituted.
Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesHealthcare experience preferred. Working knowledge of clinical EMRs, experience in Cerner preferred. Ability to establish priorities and coordinate work activities. Ability to exercise initiative, problem solving, decision-making, good communication and customer service skills. Strong focus on the details with the ability to see the bigger picture.
Working ConditionsWork is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available.
Physical RequirementsConstantly sit, see/visual acuity. Frequently handle/grasp/feel, talk/hear. Occasionally lift/carry 1 to 25 lbs.
