Job SummaryPerform CT scan procedures according to Oaklawn Hospital standards.
Essential Functions- Consistently uses an outward mindset and puts forth exemplary effort in accomplishing his/her goals and objectives in a manner that helps others to achieve their goals and objectives.
- Prepares images and reports for patients.
- Orders storeroom supplies for the department.
- Accurately performs all CT procedures common to Oaklawn Hospital.
- Properly uses all CT and PACS webserver tele-radiology equipment.
- Follows precautionary procedures to ensure patient and employee safety such as proper lifting and patient transfer techniques.
Registered Radiological Technologist in CT or registry-eligible graduate. Registry-eligible technologist must receive CT certification within two attempts or one year of date of hire, whichever occurs first. BLS from American Red Cross or American Heart Association certification.
Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesKnowledge of cross sectional anatomy/physiology and disease process, quality control and all contrast media used in Imaging and sterile technique and the administration of nitroglycerin & lopressors. Skilled in building interpersonal relationships, monitoring patient responses, assessing and prioritizing multiple tasks, and problem solving.
Working ConditionsMay occasionally be exposed to infectious diseases or hazardous materials.
Physical RequirementsConstantly walk, see/visual acuity, handle/grasp/feel, bend/twist, talk/hear. Frequently stand, reach, push/pull, stoop/kneel/crouch, lift/carry 50+ lbs.
