About This Role

Every position at Common Citizen from seed to sale contributes to our mission to serve our fellow citizens of Michigan with the highest quality, safest cannabis product through our highly individualized and education-oriented provisioning centers. The Talent Acquisition Coordinator responsibilities include providing administrative assistance to our recruiting team, crafting job descriptions, and maintaining databases with candidate information. If you are familiar with recruiting strategies, including sourcing, onboarding, and orientation activities, we’d like to meet you.

Ultimately, you will help keep our hiring process smooth and ensure we recruit and retain high-performing employees.

Responsibilities

Outlined below is what we see you doing at this point in time. We are a fast-growing company looking for people that are excited to grow along with us.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

HR Administration
  • Maintain personnel records and update HRIS systems.
  • Assist with payroll by providing relevant employee information (leaves, schedules).
  • Prepare job offer letters and employment documentation.
  • Craft and update job descriptions.
  • Generate HR reports and metrics (e.g., time-to-fill, onboarding completion).
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
  • Coordinate interviews and communicate with applicants.
  • Organize candidate data in internal databases.
  • Perform background and reference checks.
  • Own the new hire onboarding process (paperwork, scheduling training).
  • Conduct orientation sessions for new hires (including occasional travel to retail locations).
  • Manage employee referral program and bonus requests.
  • Design candidate experience surveys and analyze feedback.
The Experience You Bring and the Skills we Need:
  • Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems and resume databases.
  • Basic knowledge of labor legislation.
  • Experience using professional social networks (Linked In, in particular).
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • BSc degree in Human Resources Management, Organizational Psychology or relevant field.
  • This is a dynamic team, and as such daily tasks may vary, resulting in a fast paced and lively work environment.
Requirements
  • 2+ years in HR or recruiting support roles.
  • Familiarity with HRIS and Applicant Tracking Systems.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of labor legislation.
  • Proficiency with professional social networks (Linked In).
  • Problem‑solving mindset and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
