Overview

Vallen is seeking a Site Coordinator for Supply Chain Services. The role is typically onsite at a customer location and reports to the Supply Chain Services Sr Manager. The position supports coordinating and refining supply chain, vending, and/or Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) operations, with a focus on ensuring streamlined operations, customer satisfaction, and alignment with Vallen's business goals. This role collaborates closely with inside sales and account management to deepen customer relationships and reinforce Vallen's value proposition.

Job Summary

Vallen s Supply Chain Services Site Coordinator focuses on coordinating and refining onsite supply chain operations, typically at a customer site, under the direction of the Sr Manager. The role supports the inside sales and account management teams to maintain strong customer relationships and deliver Vallen s value proposition.

Responsibilities

  • Operational Management:
    Oversee the daily functions of Supply Chain Solutions, ensuring compliance with service standards, agreements, and cost optimization.
  • Team Leadership:
    Guide onsite Supply Chain Solutions associates, including performance evaluation, training, and fostering team collaboration.
  • Strategic

    Collaboration:

    Align team activities with organizational goals in partnership with the Supply Chain Services Sr Manager.
  • Customer Relationship Management:
    Develop and maintain relationships with key customer stakeholders, ensure satisfaction, and explore collaboration opportunities.
  • Asset & Inventory Management:
    Oversee onsite inventory and assets, ensuring accurate tracking and minimized wastage.
  • KPI Monitoring:
    Assess and report on KPIs (service levels, fill rate, machine downtime, etc.). Formulate strategies to improve service delivery.
  • Order Control Optimization:
    Work with customers and Account Representatives/Managers to refine inventory order controls and minimize stock-outs.
  • Compliance & Process Refinement:
    Ensure adherence to inventory protocols and cycle counts; initiate corrective actions as needed.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    Conduct regular reviews to refine processes and drive operational efficiencies.

Qualifications

  • Education & Experience:

    A bachelor s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Supply Chain Management, Marketing, Finance) or equivalent experience, plus 3+ years in supply chain management, distribution, or related industry. Experience with indirect materials is advantageous.
  • Leadership:
    At least 2 years in a supervisory role, emphasizing team development and cohesion.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

  • Routinely uses standard office equipment (computers, phones, etc.).
  • Regularly required to talk and hear; frequently required to sit; occasionally required to stand and walk.
  • May be required to wear protective equipment (shoes, gloves, eyewear) when visiting warehouse, manufacturing, customer, or supplier facilities.
  • Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required: close vision and ability to adjust focus.
  • Long periods of computer use and repetitive keyboard activity.
