Travel RN - ICU

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Critical Care Unit position requiring an active MI license and 2+ years of CCU experience.

• Active MI RN license required at time of consideration
• Current BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications required
• 2+ years of current CCU experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• Prior Cerner EMR experience preferred
• Strong manual dexterity for managing IV tubing, syringes, and other equipment
• Clear oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work with diverse patient and staff populations with cultural and spiritual sensitivity
• Ability to manage time efficiently with minimal supervision

• Work in a 12-bed Critical Care Unit (CCU)
• Nurse to patient ratio of 4:1 or 2:1 depending on patient acuity
• Uses Cerner EMR
• Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Weekend rotation required
• Holiday rotation required
• On-call required during low census periods
• Provide critical care nursing services to patients requiring intensive monitoring and treatment
• Requires selective attention and ability to shift focus between multiple tasks
• Requires information ordering skills for medication calculations and data interpretation
