This role helps ensure our inspection services meet technical and customer requirements, our records are accurate and traceable, and our employees perform their work safely.

At IFE, QHSE involves working directly with operations and field personnel to understand how work is performed, identify risks, resolve quality concerns, and make procedures practical and effective. The Director connects customer expectations, technical requirements, and company processes with daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Management

Lead and improve the company’s quality management system, including procedures, document control, audits, and corrective actions.

Partner with operations to maintain consistent flowline inspection processes, accurate reporting, and equipment identification and traceability.

Review customer requirements and help incorporate them into procedures, work instructions, and daily practices.

Coordinate internal and customer audits, maintain supporting records, and follow through on findings.

Investigate nonconformances and quality concerns, identify root causes, and verify corrective actions are effective.

Health, Safety & Environment

Lead safety and environmental programs across company locations and field operations.

Work with supervisors and employees to identify and address hazards associated with inspection activities, equipment handling, and customer-site work.

Coordinate safety training, workplace inspections, and incident and near-miss investigations.

Maintain required safety documentation and support customer safety qualification requirements.

Oversee environmental practices, including spill prevention, response, and related records.

Help teams understand and follow applicable company, customer, and regulatory requirements.

Inspection & Technical Program Oversight

Oversee the control and maintenance of inspection procedures, technical documentation, and technician qualification and certification records.

Coordinate with designated NDT Level III personnel for technical guidance, procedure approvals, and certification matters.

Partner with operations to maintain equipment calibration and inspection records.

Help resolve inspection and documentation concerns through the appropriate technical authority.

Identify training needs and coordinate with operations and technical personnel to address gaps.

Establish clear QHSE expectations and help employees understand their responsibilities.

Maintain a visible presence in operations and engage employees in quality and safety improvements.

Track performance, identify recurring issues, and communicate significant risks and trends to leadership.

Work with department leaders to assign, complete, and verify corrective actions.

Build practical processes that support safe work, reliable inspections, and customer confidence.

The required QHSE, managerial or supervisory, and technical experience may overlap.

Experience leading quality and safety programs, implementing procedures, and coordinating improvements with operations and field personnel.

Familiarity with flowline equipment, inspection workflows, and the documentation needed to support accurate, traceable inspection services.
