Your Impact

Are you a skilled and highly motivated Generator Technician who is looking to learn and grow in a fast‑paced, challenging job in the Telecom industry? Pearce has a career for you! Our Generator Technicians service and repair commercial generators on cell phone towers in your region. This role is a great match for independent, self‑starters who are willing to travel.

Core Responsibilities
  • Maintaining generators, diagnosing and repairing problems, installing and replacing components or entire systems, and performing additional maintenance or upgrades on out‑of‑season equipment
  • Conducting performance checks and regular maintenance on generators to ensure proper readiness; reading and following blueprints or other design specifications to install or repair
  • Installing fuel and water supply lines, pumps, electrical wiring and controls, and other components, and testing for proper operation
  • Responding promptly to Power/Generator alarms and being on call 24/7 if necessary; answering assigned phone and email promptly
  • Performing work with awareness of all potential hazards related to installation and maintenance of power supply equipment, switching gear, and other equipment; using safety equipment and safety practices; attending all designated safety and training meetings

Specific duties may vary or evolve over time based on business and client needs.

Core Experience
  • Two or more years of experience with generator maintenance preferred and a minimum of one year of intense work‑related experience with generator and electrical maintenance‑related software, hardware, and processes
  • Thorough knowledge of generator installations, maintenance, and repair of generators; knowledge of electronic, mechanical, and electrical components; moderate computer skills
  • Basic knowledge of pertinent FCC/FAA/EPA/OSHA regulations
  • Electrical experience preferred
Physical/Work Environment
  • This position requires lifting over 50 pounds, stooping, bending, kneeling, squatting, climbing, and standing for long periods of time
  • Must have the ability to inspect and/or troubleshoot equipment/alarms effectively, both visually and audibly
  • Must be willing and able to drive long distances, workday, evening, or night hours; overtime, emergency callouts, weekends, and holidays as required; must assume 24‑hour on‑call duty when assigned and be gone from home for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to pass a DOT physical

Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and location. In addition to wages, employees may also be eligible for performance and referral bonuses, production incentives, tool/equipment and fuel stipends, company vehicle, per diem or other applicable compensation.

We also offer all full‑time employees a comprehensive benefits package including health and life insurance, 401k with employer match, paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and professional development courses. Base Pay Range: $30 USD - $40 USD
