We are hiring a Sr. Financial Analyst at our Marshall, MN or Bloomington, MN corporate locations. In this role you will conduct and document complex financial analysis projects within Logistics and Supply Chain. Beyond select technical skills, we are seeking a proactive and analytical problem-solver who can handle complex ad-hoc requests with minimal supervision. You will ideally have a deep expertise in transforming raw data from various sources into clear, actionable insights for management.

At this time, we are only considering candidates local to the Marshall or Minneapolis/St. Paul general vicinity.

Responsibilities
  • Data Analysis & Transformation: Transforming financial and operational data into meaningful information. This includes developing queries from different data sources (.xlsx, .txt, .pdf files), merging and appending them to create consolidated datasets, and automating routine reporting within Excel.
  • Financial Reporting & Forecasting: Reporting, analyzing, forecasting, and interpreting financial and operating data. This may include profit/loss analysis, cost analysis, market niche reporting, regional performance assessments, customer proposals, rate of return, and depreciation. The role also involves supporting some end-of-month accounting activities.
  • Ad-Hoc Projects: Preparing complex financial analysis reports and completing individual analytical and ad-hoc projects with abstract guidelines.
  • Operational Support: Advising on and recommending desirable operational adjustments to management and interpreting budget-to-actual variances. The position also develops operating metrics and reviews performance against plans.
  • Mentorship: You may serve as a mentor and evaluator for lower-level staff and assist other teams with financial matters as required.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Finance or Accounting.
  • 5+ years of related experience, some of which is preferably in the manufacturing industry.
  • Advanced proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Deep expertise in Microsoft Excel, including functions such as VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, XLOOKUP, logical statements, and string manipulation.
  • Strong skills in Power Query for transforming and automating data from various sources. Expertise in Pivot Tables and Pivot Charts is also critical for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Experience with SAP Business Explorer (BEx) to create, edit, and audit queries.
  • Experience with tools like Qlik or Power BI is highly preferred.
Compensation and Benefits

The base salary range for this position is $73,500 to $122,500 annually with eligibility for a 10% annual incentive bonus, based on organizational performance. The pay range represents the numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to education, skills, work experience, certifications, geography, etc. As such, starting pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
