We are hiring an early career Financial Analyst to support our corporate initiatives in either Hopkins, MN or Marshall, MN
. We're looking for someone who is great at analyzing problems, staying organized, and working both independently and as part of a team. If you’re someone who enjoys figuring things out and can manage your own tasks while also collaborating with others, you might be a great fit for this role.
- Supporting complex financial analysis projects and reporting in collaboration with management.
- Assisting with monthly close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
- Preparing and analyzing management reports related to cost, production, spend, and performance metrics.
- Contributing to the development of budgets, forecasts, and annual operating plans.
- Reviewing plant financial policies and statements for adherence to corporate guidelines.
- Providing data and schedules for internal stakeholders and external audits as needed.
- Performing additional accounting duties across fixed assets, A/R, A/P, and other key functions.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting or experience in a finance or accounting focused role.
- Basic understanding of financial analysis and accounting policies, procedures, programs, and processes.
- Basic skills in the development of financial ratios and comparative analysis, or ability to learn.
- Possess analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.
- MS Office Suite experience, including Excel.
The base salary range for this position is $58,500 - $97,500 annually with eligibility for a 5% annual incentive bonus, which is based on organizational performance. The salary range represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to education, skills, work experience, certifications, geography etc. As such, starting pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.

Bachelors degree or equivalent

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Good PC skills including Windows and the Microsoft Office Suite; solid understanding of financial analysis and accounting policies, procedures, programs and processes; good communication and interpersonal skills; proficient use of automated general ledger systems and reporting tools (SAP, SQL, Cognos, Report Net and BEx); intermediate skills in the development of financial ratios and comparative analysis; thorough understanding of general accounting principles and accepted standards that enables some evaluation and originality to be displayed on standard and non-critical matters;
and CPA or pursuit of CPA preferred
