- Clinic is open Monday-Friday 8 a.m.
-5 p.m. - 64 hours/2 weeks
The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
- LPN Pay: $23.09-$33.28 per hour.
- Certified Medical Assistant Pay: $ per hour
Performs selected medical assistant and clerical duties that assist in care for clinic patients following established standards, practices, and competency.
Medical Assistant Required Education, License/Certification, or Work ExperienceOne of the following is required:
- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) - National Health career Association (NHA) and Medical Assistant diploma Upon Hire or
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) - American Medical Certification Association (AMCA) Upon Hire or
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) - American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) Upon Hire or
- Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) - American Medical Technologists (AMT) Upon Hire or
- National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) – National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)

A Brief OverviewThe LPN within the Clinic is accountable for providing high quality professional care to patients and families under the supervision of the provider in their scope of practice.
What you will do- Performs general nursing care to patients. Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards. Coordinates the patient care activities for the clinic.
- Prepares the equipment and assists provider during procedures, treatments, examinations and testing of patients within scope of license.
- Observes, records and reports patient’s condition and reactions to drugs and treatments to provider. Dispenses medications as directed.
- Greets patients and prepares them for physical examination. Screens patients for appropriate information including obtaining the health history, taking vitals and conducting patient evaluations.
- Responds to and refers incoming telephone calls. Instructs patient and family regarding medications and treatment instructions.
- Prepare patients for exam, having them in proper dress.
- Assist doctor as directed.
- Work up new patient charts.
- Chart visits at end of day and/or all necessary information and drugs prescribed.
- Review all lab, hospital and other reports, and post in chart as necessary.
- Ensure patient information form is updated yearly as needed.
- Maintains exam rooms for necessary supplies and materials. Ensures cleanliness. Prepares list of medical supplies needed.
- Completes patient care interventions which may include assisting with lab draws and test procedures, start peripheral IVs, chest and extremity x-rays and EKG’s.
- Assures appropriate labeling and packaging of lab specimens according to lab procedures and x-rays according to radiology procedures. Assists in cleaning/maintaining lab equipment. Maintains reference log to assure patient test results returned. Follow up on any missing reports.
- Flexible work schedule to accommodate organization, physician and patient needs.
- Documents appropriately to meet Accountable Care Organization (ACO) guidelines.
- Scheduling surgeries/ancillary services/referral as needed per direction of provider.
- Prevents the spread of infection and maintains adequate infection prevention measures.
