Job OverviewAs a Field Merchandiser, you’ll work independently to showcase organization and time‑management skills, establish retailer relationships, and serve as the face of Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support fellow team members with seasonal resets and installations when needed. On occasion you may work with other products from other companies in the stores you service.
Salaryand Schedule Details
- Your starting pay will be $15.00–$17.00 depending on your skills and experience.
- This is a part‑time position with a variable schedule during the work week.
- Average weekly hours are between 8–12 hours per week.
- Availability the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends, is required.
You’ll perform service work in the Hallmark department of various retail stores such as grocery stores, drug stores, department stores, and mass retailers. The role has three major components:
- Day‑to‑day engagement:
Using a mobile device provided by Hallmark, you’ll restock, organize, and monitor the inventory of Hallmark products within and outside the Hallmark department. You’ll communicate with your supervisor, report time, provide feedback, and complete required merchandising surveys. - Holiday support:
During peak seasonal demand (e.g., Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas) you may be required to work additional days, extended hours, and in some cases on the holiday itself. - Department resets:
You may be part of a team responsible for installations and resetting card sections, with advance notice and the possibility of evening or weekend work. - One Team Vision:
As part of Hallmark’s field organization, you’ll support other team members as needed throughout their territories.
This is a physically demanding job that requires a high level of energy and a sense of urgency. You will be working on the selling floor and in back stockrooms, consistently pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying cartons, merchandise, and fixtures up to 30 pounds, and up to 50 pounds on occasion. You must be able to kneel, squat, walk, stand, and sometimes climb stairs or ladders.
BasicQualifications
- You’re at least 18 years of age.
- Proficient in reading, writing, and understanding English.
- Able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
- Capable of operating a digital hand‑held device to read documents and interpret information.
- Have access to a Wi‑Fi network and the internet.
- Have reliable transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
