Lyon County is seeking an individual who desires to be a part of the Lyon County Highway Department. This position operates a variety of equipment used in the repair and general maintenance of highways and related areas for Lyon County. Position is responsible for operating specialized equipment and performing manual labor, preventative maintenance, and building maintenance. Early morning hours, weekends, and holiday work may be necessary.
This position requires a High school diploma, or GED; a minimum of one-year experience in heavy equipment operation, maintenance, or related field; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the abilities for this position. Must possess a Class "A" CDL upon hire, and obtain CPR/First Aid certification within six (6) months of hire. Position is overtime eligible with a salary range of $24.53- $34.35 at 40 hours/week with full benefits and training opportunities!
