• Cleans patient rooms; duties include disinfecting all surfaces, emptying trash, cleaning sinks, counter areas, showers and toilets, dusting, mopping and vacuuming, restocking paper products, changing bedding and shampooing carpet.
• Disinfects all public areas including sinks, toilets, washing walls, damp mop, damp disinfecting all areas, disinfecting handrails, replacement of blinds and shampooing carpets, buffing or waxing floors where needed.
• Follows proper procedure for separating regular waste versus bio‑hazardous waste and storage of clean and dirty linens.
• Cleans ancillary areas including vacuuming, cleaning restrooms, trash disposal, damp disinfecting.

• Full‑time – 80 hours every two weeks
• 4:30 pm – 1:00 am

• High school diploma or equivalent – preferred
• Prior experience in environmental services or housekeeping – preferred
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage, and disposal methods
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently
• Strong attention to detail and time‑management skills
• Excellent communication and customer‑service skills
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed

The Environmental Service Technician must lift and move heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive motions. They must also work in environments with exposure to cleaning chemicals and biohazardous materials.

The Environmental Service Technician will primarily work in healthcare facilities such as hospitals and clinics, and may also work in other settings like long‑term care facilities or schools.
