Responsibilities- Coordinate with growers on leased land and supervise field staff during in‑season activities such as phenotyping, study management, and data analytics.
- Execute R&D field trials for crops including corn, soybean, wheat, cotton, canola, and camelina.
- Ensure safe and efficient operation of the research program in alignment with Bayer’s Health, Safety & Environment, Quality, Compliance, and Business Code of Conduct.
- Collaborate with project team members to deliver detailed experimental protocols and analyze agronomic data using tractors, planters, harvesters, drones, and digital tools.
- Build and maintain networks with growers, local leaders, and community stakeholders.
- Supervise and direct third‑party labor or seasonal staff.
- Communicate across teams, manage project priorities, and continuously learn.
- Support targeted business and personal development goals aligned with Bayer’s values.
- Travel up to 15% of the time and work extended hours during peak seasons; eventyual overnight travel may be required.
- Drive a company vehicle, meeting required mileage and licensing standards for the role.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Strong technical aptitude and ability to work with connected systems and data management.
- Experience working in a collaborative team‑based environment.
- Knowledge of precision agriculture technology and field equipment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- DOT medical card or ability to obtain one.
- Ability to obtain a pesticide applicator’s license.
- Ability to obtain a drone pilot’s license (FAA Part 107).
- Bachelor of Science in agronomy, life sciences, engineering, or computer science (Master’s degree preferred).
- Experience in agricultural research, seed technology, or plant breeding.
- Knowledge of basic statistical analysis and experimental design principles.
- Mechanical and IT aptitude.
- Experience with precision agriculture hardware and software.
- History of implementing continuous improvements and innovation.
- Safe lifting of 50 lbs.
- Sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods.
- Work in high and low temperatures.
- Long hours during the peak field season.
Position located in Marshall, Missouri. Domestic relocation may be eligible.
Posting available until January 17, 2026.
Employees can expect a salary between $58,498.40 and $87,747.60, plus potential bonus or commission. Other benefits include health, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, and sick leave.
