Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Operational Excellence North America, the Lean Leader (Kaizen Promotion Office Leader) will drive continuous improvement initiatives at the Marshall, TX site. The role focuses on fostering a workplace culture that empowers employees at all levels to streamline and enhance safety, quality, delivery, and cost through Kaizen and the Prysmian Performance System (PPS).
Key Responsibilities- Act as a business partner to the site Director and key member of the site leadership team, providing strategic insights and data‑driven recommendations to drive PPS and Kaizen culture.
- Steer and ensure buy‑in from Operations leadership to develop an annual Kaizen transformation roadmap aligned to regional Hoshin goals and site needs.
- Spearhead Kaizen and Lean principles across all levels, embedding them into site processes and ensuring sustainability.
- Lead Kaizen workshops/events, ensuring measurable results tied to flow improvement and waste elimination for high‑volume/high‑revenue product groups.
- Deliver training and mentorship programs on Kaizen, Lean principles and PPS, building Lean practitioners across the organization.
- Maintain compliance with PPS standards through visual and daily management tools.
- Track Kaizen Newspaper Action Items, ensuring accountability and measurable results.
- Manage Kaizen resources, training materials and standard templates to support continuous improvement.
- Champion planning and execution of Hoshin processes to improve site SQDC through the Kaizen Planner.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with leadership experience in Kaizen and continuous improvement.
- Proficiency in Gemba Kaizen, Value Stream Analysis, Visual & Daily Management, Hoshin Kanri, SMED, TPM, Standard Work Development, and 3P Layout.
- Strong facilitation skills for Kaizen events and ability to identify future Lean‑minded personnel.
- Experience leading cost‑reduction and process‑flow improvement initiatives.
- Proficiency with Kaizen tools such as 3P, TAKT Time, Standard Work Combination Sheets, Standard WIP, and Kaizen Newspaper.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
- Leadership and strategic direction within the site leadership team.
- Lean Master certification on TPS or Danaher Business System.
- Project management experience with a proven track record of meeting timelines.
- Agile certification such as SCALE.
- Change management certification such as PROSCI.
- Strong analytical background—SPC, hypothesis testing, regression, and correlation analysis.
- Problem‑solving skills—5‑Whys, 8D, Shainin, etc.
