Network Field Technician

Base pay range

$23.00/hr - $27.00/hr

Network Field Technician | 6 month Contract-to-Hire | $23-$27ph

• Support network connectivity, including VPN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and inter-campus communication.
• Install and configure switches, access points, cabling, patch panels, and racks.
• Troubleshoot connectivity issues for users, printers, VoIP, and enterprise applications.
• Perform break/fix support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals.
• Assist with network upgrades, expansions, and infrastructure projects.
• Provide support for audio/visual equipment and event setups.
• Document procedures, create network diagrams, and maintain technical records.
• Collaborate closely with IT teams, administrators, and vendors.
• Participate in on-call rotations and provide timely issue resolution.

• Associate degree in IT, Network Administration, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of IT support or networking experience.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and networks.
• Familiarity with Windows, macOS, enterprise applications, and user access management.

• CompTIA Network+ certification.
• Knowledge of OSI model, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, NAT, subnetting, and routing.
• Experience with switches, routers, and WAN technologies (MPLS, SD-WAN, DIA, broadband).
• Familiarity with diagnostic tools like Wireshark, tcpdump, and trace route.
