The Director of Operations (DOO) is responsible for leading and optimizing all district operations across the company to ensure consistency, accountability, and profitability. This individual must be a hands-on leader who thrives on structure, communication, and measurable results — ensuring the organization executes effectively on strategy, safety, quality, and culture.

This position requires strong alignment with the company’s EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) and D-R-I-V-E values (Dependability, Resilience, Integrity, Vision, Ethics).

Role Objectives
  • Partner with the CEO and Integrator to define, implement, and execute the company’s operational strategy.
  • Lead district operations with a focus on P&L accountability
    , efficiency, safety, and employee engagement.
  • Translate strategic goals into clear, measurable action plans for each district.
  • Ensure consistent adherence to company processes, reporting, and operational checklists.
  • Build, coach, and hold district managers accountable to performance standards and company values.
  • Drive communication across all levels of the organization to ensure transparency and alignment.
  • Develop and oversee annual operating budgets, KPIs, and forecasting to achieve company-wide financial targets.
  • Reinforce a culture of ownership, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with HR and QHSE leadership to maintain compliance, training, and personnel development.
  • Act as the liaison between executive leadership and district management
    , ensuring issues are solved quickly and effectively.
Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily operations across all districts, ensuring consistency in processes, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Hold district leaders accountable for achieving operational, safety, and financial goals.
  • Standardize systems for work orders, billing, job tracking, and reporting.
  • Review and interpret financial performance reports and lead proactive corrective actions.
  • Conduct regular site visits to coach and evaluate district teams.
  • Ensure operational readiness, staffing, and resource allocation meet business needs.
  • Identify and eliminate inefficiencies across districts.
  • Lead quarterly and annual operations planning in coordination with leadership.
  • Strengthen communication flow between field operations, finance, HR, and QHSE.
  • Build relationships with key customers and ensure consistent service delivery across all locations.
  • Represent the company with professionalism, integrity, and reliability in all customer and employee interactions.
Required

Skills and Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in the Oil & Gas Service industry (NDT or related field preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years in multi-district operational leadership with proven accountability for budgets and teams.
  • Strong financial acumen and ability to interpret P&L, balance sheets, and job cost reports.
  • Demonstrated ability to build processes, enforce accountability
    , and implement continuous improvement.
  • Proven leadership in mentoring managers and holding teams to deadlines and standards.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Track record of driving operational excellence through structure, metrics, and culture
    .
  • Skilled in resource planning, scheduling, and vendor management.
  • Proficient in data-driven decision making, KPI management, and reporting systems.
  • Ability to travel frequently between company districts.
Preferred

Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, or related field.
  • Familiarity with EOS / Traction framework and accountability charts.
  • Working knowledge of ASNT, API, OSHA, ANSI, and ASTM inspection standards.
  • Experience with NDT technologies such as Magnetic Particle, Liquid Penetrant, Ultrasonic, Eddy Current, and Visual.
  • Proficiency in iM3 People Plus software, or similar job tracking systems.
  • Proven success in achieving 20%+ profitability through operational discipline and efficiency.
  • Highly self-motivated, proactive, and committed to continuous improvement.
