Job Summary

Ellis Home & Garden at 3737 Calder Ave. Beaumont, TX is now accepting applications for Cashiers and Stockman positions. These positions will help operate our store on a day-to-day basis. Ellis Home & Garden is a family-owned and operated business that offers flexible scheduling, a family-oriented atmosphere, and a great working environment.

Cashiers will be the face of the company and usually the first person that our customers see when they come to our store. Cashiers are responsible for greeting customers, processing transactions accurately, answering phone calls, and any other assigned duties. The Stockman position work throughout the store; duties include unloading delivery trucks, helping customers with purchases, cleaning, stocking and any other assigned duties.

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Some college preferred
• Lifting 50+/- pounds repeatedly (Stock Associate)
• Comfortable working in all weather conditions periodically
• Computer proficiency required
• Retail point of sale experience preferred
• Cash handling experience (Cashier position)
• Plant knowledge preferred, but not required (we will train you!)
• Must be available Nights & Weekends
• Must be 18 years of age
• Minimum 1 year Forklift Operator experience required (Stockman position Only)

Pay determined by experience: starting at $10.00 per hour
