The Import Compliance Analyst is a highly tactical role responsible for ensuring all imported goods comply with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. This position requires an action-oriented professional with exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • Regulatory Compliance:
    • Monitor and enforce compliance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations, Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) classifications, and other import requirements.
    • Maintain accurate import documentation and ensure timely filing of customs entries.
  • Operational Execution:
    • Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and internal teams to resolve import issues quickly and effectively.
    • Track shipments and proactively address delays or compliance risks.
  • Identify potential compliance gaps and implement corrective actions.
  • Conduct audits of import transactions to ensure accuracy and adherence to company standards.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Recommend and implement process enhancements to improve efficiency and reduce compliance risks.
    • Stay current on regulatory changes and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.

For This Role, You Will Need:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, International Business, or related field (or equivalent experience) preferred.
  • Highly action-oriented with the ability to prioritize and execute tasks under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities to meet organizational and individual goals.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
  • Experience in import compliance, customs brokerage, or trade operations preferred.
  • Knowledge of import/export documentation and customs clearance processes helpful.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including logistics, procurement, and legal.
  • Communication: Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills for interacting with internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities and regulatory changes.
  • Integrity: Strong ethical standards and commitment to compliance excellence.
  • Proactive Mindset: Anticipates issues before they arise and takes initiative to resolve them.
