Overview
As an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist, you will support the development, implementation and maintenance of the Company’s safety, health and environmental policies and standards. This role has Environmental, Safety and Health responsibilities for large special order engineered manufacturing facility located in Marshalltown, Iowa.
Responsibilities- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and Emerson corporate standards.
- Lead EHS programs, including policy updates, training, and communications.
- Conduct incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Perform safety assessments (ergonomics, machine guarding, LOTO, job safety analysis) and recommend improvements.
- Drive hazard recognition and mitigation through processes, audits, and safety initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
You step up to handle tough issues. You carefully consider all relevant factors and use appropriate decision-making criteria and principles. You understand that different situations may call for different approaches. You partner with others to get work done.
For This Role, You Will Need- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong knowledge of OSHA standards, industrial hygiene, and safety programs.
- Proficient in MS Office; strong organizational and communication skills.
- BCSP certification a plus.
- Legal Authorization to work in the United States - sponsorship will not be provided
- 2–4 years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment.
