- Accurately follow the resident MAR to ensure medications are given according to physician orders.
- Understand and follow the “Six rights of medication administration” and all Bickford policies regarding medication management.
- Use the eMAR system appropriately for medication administration.
- Communicate with clinical leadership for clarification and direction regarding resident medication and care.
- Provide direct resident care and supervise non‑licensed team members as needed.
- Demonstrate the Bickford Mission ‘Whatever it Takes’ to all team members on shift.
- Active Medication Technician certification in good standing or at least one year of senior care experience.
- Approved Medication Manager Certificate from the Department of Inspection and Appeals.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Willingness to receive additional training or education as required by specific states.
- CPR and First Aid certifications.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Competent organizational and time‑management skills.
- Good judgment, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
- Ability to learn and use Bickford’s eMAR system for medication administration.
