Staffing Coordinator; NUC - Iowa Veterans

The Iowa Veterans Home is looking to fill a full time Scheduler position, working 40‑hour per week, to assist with Nursing Department Scheduling and Shift Staffing.

Duties include scheduling, coordinating and facilitating staffing guidelines for nursing employees. This position will have primary responsibility for creating and maintaining nursing employee schedules for the Malloy building, ensuring staffing numbers are reached in advance, supporting evening shift staffing, and completing night shift staffing two days a week, every other weekend and rotating holidays. Hours must be worked in house, with the exception of night shift staffing that can be completed from home.

This position will work 7:30 a.m.

-4 p.m., five days a week and every other weekend, with adjustments made the evenings they are completing night shift staffing (primarily 6:30 p.m.

-8:30 p.m.). They will work with the department to ensure a Scheduler is in house 7 days a week. Hours can be flexible; willing to discuss and agree upon hours with the right candidate.
