Description:
Will perform all roles of a Desktop Support staff member. Will be the first contact for support tickets and will assist Desktop Support 3 staff with hardware issues and imaging staff desktop equipment.
This role is focused on desktop support, not help desk phone support. The ideal candidate must have hands-on troubleshooting experience to handle desktop-related issues.
The candidate must be able to:
- Handle difficult situations with clients and turn them into positive outcomes for the desktop support team.
- Work on trouble tickets from the system.
- Mentor less experienced Desktop Staff and work on tickets they pass on.
- Resolve issues desk-side and via remote desktop.
- Answer questions and resolve issues related to applications, printers, and connectivity.
- Set up and install new PCs.
- Maintain a positive outlook, be professional, and provide excellent customer service.
This position will primarily be based at the Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown.

Some work outside of M-F (7 am to 5 pm) may be required, not exceeding 40 hours per week.
Requires more than 4 years of relevant experience and a preferred education of a 2-year degree or equivalent technical study.
