Level 1 IT Help Desk Agent

Mechdyne is seeking a Level 1 IT Help Desk Agent to join our team. In this role, you'll be the first point of contact for users who need technical assistance with computers, software, passwords, and other technology-related issues. You'll gain hands-on experience while working alongside experienced IT professionals in a supportive environment.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM CT
Pay: $17.00-$21.00 per hour
Location: Marshalltown, IA or Naperville, IL
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

• Provide friendly and professional technical support to users via phone, email, chat, and ticketing systems
• Troubleshoot common computer, software, printer, and connectivity issues
• Reset passwords and assist with account access requests
• Document issues and resolutions in the help desk system
• Escalate complex issues to higher-level support teams when needed

• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Basic computer troubleshooting knowledge
• Ability to learn new technologies and solve problems
• Dependable, organized, and team-oriented mindset
• High school diploma or equivalent

• Previous customer service, help desk, or technical support experience
• IT coursework, certifications, military technical experience, or an associate degree in a related field
• Familiarity with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft 365
