Family Nurse Practitioner

Quick Visit Urgent Care in Grinnell, Iowa is seeking a full-time Family Nurse Practitioner to join our team. • Bring innovative, high-quality urgent and primary care to patients of all ages in underserved communities.
• Perform physical exams, diagnose and treat illnesses, order and interpret labs, prescribe medications, provide patient education, and document all relevant information in EMR.
• Perform examinations for workers’ compensation, occupational medicine, DOT, sports, wellness, and pre-employment screenings.
• Provide flexible and adaptive care to avoid turning away patients before exhausting reasonable treatment options.
• Communicate effectively with patients and staff.
• Work autonomously as a provider and alongside nurses, x-ray technicians, and front office staff to deliver patient care.
• Provide leadership and assist team members as needed; monitor staff follow-up calls to track patient progress.
• Use judgement to determine when to consult supervising physician.
• Collaborate with management and operational team members to ensure consistency with medical policy and professional standards.
• Support and engage in projects to develop or improve services at the clinic.
• Have at least one year of FNP experience and/or emergency care experience as an RN.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Work Life Balance and Flexible

Schedule:

Our clinics are open Monday – Friday 7AM to 7PM, Saturdays 8AM to 6PM, and Sundays 1PM to 5PM. Schedules are typically posted a month in advance so you will know which shifts are available.

• One year of FNP experience or emergency care experience as an RN
• Experience treating pediatrics preferred
• Ability to work independently and autonomously
• Active Iowa Nurse Practitioner state license
• Active DEA License
• DOT Physical Certification
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS
