Overview

Certified Medication Aide - Full Time, Iowa Veterans Home, Marshalltown, IA.

The position starts at $19.43 per hour with an additional $0.75 when passing medications. There are recruitment and retention payments available: a $500 recruitment payment for full-time positions and a $500 quarterly CMA retention payment.

• Pass medications as indicated on MAR and perform basic personal care of residents following a plan of care developed by the primary nurse.
• Complete documentation and sign off in resident charts and care plans.

• 3 day work week; 14-hour shifts (6:00 a.m.–8:30 p.m. OR 3:45 p.m.–6:15 a.m.); 1 out of 4 weekends.
• 8-hour evening shift (2:00 p.m.–10:30 p.m.); every other weekend.
• 10-hour night shift (8:15 p.m.–6:15 a.m.); every other weekend.
• Weekend package options with retention payments up to $5,000 paid over 26 pay periods. Lodging and meals available upon request.

No specific education or experience is required. Must be a Certified Nursing Aide with Medication Aide Certificate.

Designated positions require obtaining a Commercial Driver's License or Chauffeur License and endorsements within a time frame set by the appointing authority at hire.
