• Provide safe, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing care to patients based on individual needs.
• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions while communicating changes to the care team.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered and ensure patient understanding and safety.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teammates to coordinate and support patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families on care needs, discharge planning, and health management.

Additional responsibilities may vary based on department and unit specialty.

• Associates Degree in Nursing
• Bachelors of Science in Nursing preferred
• One (1) year of hospital clinical experience or demonstrated clinical efficiency preferred
• Current license in the state of Iowa or meets criteria established by Iowa Board of Nursing.
• Writes, reads, comprehends and speaks fluent English.
• Multicultural sensitivity.
• Microsoft Office - basic computer skills.
• Customer/patient focused.
• Critical thinking skills using independent judgment in making decisions.
