Garda World Security Services is now hiring a Surveillance Security Officer!

What matters most about this role is your sharp eye, capturing every detail as you scan a series of screens. Tell us about your strong observation skills with attention to detail.

As a Security Officer – Surveillance, you will be the person spotting threats before they escalate in environments such as a security operations center, call center, parking gatehouse, etc.

• Site location:
  Marshalltown, IA
• Full‑time, 2nd shift, Tuesday through Saturday, 3 p.m. to 11 p.m.
• Competitive hourly wage of $15.53 per hour (Daily Pay is available for Garda World employees!)

• Monitor security systems to detect any suspicious activity
• Document observed events and incidents, writing detailed reports
• Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats
• Conduct regular patrols to ensure the safety of the premises
• Control access to secure areas and verify the identities of visitors
• Analyze security systems to identify potential vulnerabilities or malfunctions
• Collaborate with law enforcement in case of serious situations or emergencies
• Ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property

• Be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Have documentation of a high school diploma or GED
• Pass an extensive screening process
• Strong report writing skills
• Good eyesight and excellent ability to maintain focus
• Strong proficiency with technology
• Security, military, or law‑enforcement experience – even better
• Must be available to work holidays
• Must be at least 21 years old
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Must be able to obtain or maintain an IA state private security license (Garda World will help to obtain)
