Head Bowling Coach

Job Title: Part-Time Head Bowling Coach (Anticipated Opening)

Department: Athletics

Reports To: Director of Athletics

Location: Marshalltown Community College, Marshalltown, IA

Rate of Pay: Stipend

Summary: The purpose of this position is to provide daily oversight of a collegiate athletic program. This position is responsible for the recruitment and starting the Marshalltown Community College Bowling Program for the school year of . Further recruitment and retention is expected for following years to put together a full competitive roster. Follows all Iowa Valley Community College District (IVCCD), Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC), and National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) rules and regulations in administering the program.

Supports the development of student athletics. Coordinates travel, game, schedule, inventory, and maintenance of equipment.

Job Duties:

• Provides an environment for successful recruitment and retention of student athletes. Supports the development of student athletes’ success in the classroom and in their respective sport. Coordinates travel, game schedule and game management. Assures compliance with all IVCCD, ICCAC and NJCAA rules. Provides program need within allocated budget, including inventory of all equipment and uniforms. Provide game day management duties and drive teams to sporting events as needed.
• Attends IVCCD and ICCAC meetings as required. Supports the overall success of the district by performing other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field required;
Appropriate licensure if required.

Abilities: Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing to a diverse population of students. Knowledge and ability to organize multiple priorities and job duties. Knowledge of general office procedures and protocols.
