Position SummaryWe are looking for an experienced Fleet Mechanic / Equipment Mechanic to take ownership of the day‑to‑day maintenance and repair of our vehicles and equipment. This is a hands‑on, shop‑based role working on gasoline and diesel engines, small engines, and hydraulic/electrical systems for landscaping and snow operations.

KeyJob Duties
- Oversee the day‑to‑day operation of the shop, including maintenance and repairs for company vehicles and equipment.
- Perform maintenance and repair on small engine equipment such as commercial mowers, chainsaws, blowers, trimmers, and related tools.
- Maintain and repair construction equipment including skid steers, mini excavators, electric and hydraulic sanders, and similar machinery.
- Perform preventative maintenance on all company vehicles, including basic body work and painting as needed.
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on specialized equipment such as mini excavators, track machines, Ditch Witch SK900, hydro‑seeders, sanders, and Fisher snow plows.
- Load and receive materials, track parts and inventory levels, and help keep the shop organized.
- Make deliveries to job sites and perform on‑site repairs as needed.
- Minimum 5 years of experience working on gasoline and diesel engines and small engine repairs.
- Proven experience diagnosing and repairing electrical and hydraulic problems.
- Manufacturer certifications (STIHL, Kohler, Wright Stander, Briggs & Stratton, etc.) are a plus.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills; able to work independently and prioritize work orders.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to communicate clearly with supervisors, crew leaders, and vendors.
- Must be able to routinely lift up to 50 pounds and stand on your feet for most of the workday.
- Valid driver’s license required; CDL a plus.
- MA Hoisting License preferred (or willingness to obtain).
- Comfortable using basic computer and technology tools for work orders, manuals, and parts lookup.
