• Oversee and manage the daily operations of the accounting department
• Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and budgets
• Conduct cash flow analysis and forecasting to ensure proper liquidity
• Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash balances
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and other relevant accounting standards
• Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes
• Prepare and post journal entries as needed
• Conduct regular account reconciliations to ensure accuracy
• Coordinate and assist with financial audits
• Participate in closing accounting books monthly (5 business day goal) and prepare applicable journal entries timely and accurately
• Perform general ledger account analysis and prepare monthly account reconciliations
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial analysis
• Assist with annual audit from outside CPA Firm.
• Compile data and reports to support internal and external reporting
• Assist with daily cash management and monthly bank reconciliations.
• Assist in business process review to identify process improvements and maintain internal controls
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Excel and other products
• Superior attention to detail and problem solving
• Able to work in in fast past and team-oriented environment.
• Mentor and train accounting staff as needed

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
• 5 years’ experience as a controller
• In-depth knowledge of financial services, regulations, and best practices
• Proficient in using accounting software such as Hyperion
• Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting standards
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities
