Travel RN - Operating Room - Outpatient Surgery​/Same Day Surgery

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN for an Outpatient/Same Day Surgery position requiring strong general OR experience and a WI or compact RN license.

• Active WI or compact RN license required by start date
• Current BLS and ACLS certification (AHA)
• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience required
• Strong overall OR experience required
• Experience with ortho procedures such as total joints, scopes, fractures, and podiatry preferred
• Scrubbing not required but considered helpful

• Ambulatory Surgery OR setting within an acute care facility
• Unit consists of 10 operating suites plus 2 procedure rooms
• Averages 40-50 cases per day including ortho, GGU, ENT, and ophthalmology procedures
• Uses Cerner EMR, which is transitioning to Epic
• Day shift schedule with 8-hour shifts, including  and  start times
• Modified self-scheduling allows staff to select preferred late days and days off
• No call, weekend, or holiday requirements
• Floating to the Inpatient OR on campus required as needed
• Provide direct patient care in a high-volume ambulatory surgery setting
• Two RNs share the Charge Nurse/House Supervisor role, rotating between staffing and running the board
• Unit-specific orientation lasts approximately 3 to 5 days
• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• Candidates living within 80 miles of the facility are considered local
• Former Marshfield employees must have an end date at least 6 months prior to consideration
• All clinicians are required to clock in and out at the facility
