ALL ABOUT GENERAL MERCHANDISE:
Experts of store process and efficiency who enable a consistent experience for our guests by ensuring product is set, in-stock, accurately priced and signed on the sales floor. The General Merchandise and Food Sales team leads inbound, outbound, replenishment, and promotional signing processes for all General Merchandise (GM) areas of the store. This team conducts inventory accuracy, merchandise set-up and maintenance and pricing processes for all areas of the store.

Experts enable efficient delivery to our guests by supporting pick, pack and ship fulfillment work.

• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests while completing daily tasks.
• Engage with guests to assist with their specific needs when help is requested.
• Thank guests and let them know we’re happy they chose to shop at Target.
• Execute daily tasks assigned by your leader to support goals aligned with business priorities, including receiving products, restocking shelves, organizing the backroom, arranging merchandise, and posting promotional signs for GM areas.
• If certified, operate power equipment to move merchandise or store fixtures.
• Execute processes such as price changes, merchandise set-up and maintenance, and inventory accuracy as directed.
• Learn how operational procedures affect inventory management, store profitability, and product availability.
• Be knowledgeable about store resources, products, and services to solve guest issues and improve their experience.
• Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance.
• Work safely; comply with safety policies and training; report hazards and correct where possible.
• Support guest services such as back-up cashier and digital fulfillment processes (e.g., picking and packing orders or delivering pickup orders) while complying with relevant laws.
• All other duties based on business needs.

• Resolve guest questions quickly on the spot.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow multi-step processes.
• Remain focused in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within time frames.

• Accurately handle cash register operations as needed.
• Climb ladders; scan, handle and move merchandise safely, including lifting up to 44 pounds with or without assistance.
• Flexible work schedule (nights, weekends, holidays) with reliable attendance.
