Safely operates a heavy‑duty truck to perform assigned duties on swing routes and drives a heavy‑duty commercial vehicle in residential, commercial, and construction environments.

• Operate vehicle in accordance with OSHA, DOT, and company expectations, maintaining a clean and safe vehicle.
• Perform pre‑ and post‑trip inspections using DVIR and note all issues on DVIR for corrective review/repair.
• Immediately report unsafe situations or service calls to the route manager or dispatch before attempting service.
• Participate in and cooperate with all scheduled training, briefings, and meetings as required by the route manager.
• Work closely with route managers to improve route efficiencies and identify problematic or unsafe accounts.
• Perform all duties as scheduled by route manager or dispatch, and assist other company drivers as directed.
• Notify the route manager of any incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage.
• Notify dispatch or route manager of issues as prescribed by service machine protocol, including blocked containers, possible missed pick‑ups, or other problems encountered on the route.
• Communicate customer requests or issues to dispatch or route manager.
• Completely dump all containers and leave the customer’s location clean and free of debris.
• Complete and submit customer tickets when excess yardage must be removed.
• Position containers on the customer’s property in a manner that ensures lids are properly replaced, containers are set upright, and containers do not block driveway entrances or traffic.
• Follow route assignments throughout the day and complete all documentation when checking in at the end of the route.

Required Qualifications

• At least 2 years operating a vehicle requiring a CDL.
• Equivalent military driving experience within the last 7 years.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Legally eligible to work in the country where the position is located.
• Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (accredited).

• Standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, reaching, handling, sitting, talking, hearing.
